We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work within our Customer Solution team. Working as part of a small DevOps team, you will be responsible for introducing processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment, to maintenance and updates. You will also work closely with our development team to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly.

What makes you the ideal candidate in this role?
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with AWS DevSecOps tooling (version control, continuous integration/deployment, unit testing, infrastructure as code).You will be familiar with Bash, Python or Java and experience in the use of configuration management automation tools such as Puppet (or other tools) in creating continuous delivery systems. In addition to having the relevant technical skills and experience, you will be a team player, with the ability to clearly explaining solutions to complex problems and demonstrate the ability to transfer that knowledge to team members.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate closely with the team on new and ongoing projects, providing technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and platform issues.
Offer automated solutions for repetitive tasks and assist in debugging applications when needed.
Research and develop alternative solutions to update outdated technology stacks, while designing and maintaining infrastructure.
Develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines to streamline processes.
Ensure the uptime and security of infrastructure and services by testing and applying patches, implementing security measures, and monitoring costs and anomalies
Work alongside the development teams to enhance build quality and implement the relevant tools to introduce best practices.
Qualification
The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:
Expertise in the AWS cloud platform with a focus on automated deployment and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Proficiency in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) to create seamless, automated processes that support efficient code deployment and delivery.
Strong skills in languages such as Python, Bash, and Java to automate tasks, manage configurations, and enhance system reliability
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, ensuring that security is integrated into all infrastructure aspects.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams, share solutions, and mentor team members.
